31.05.22, 14:00-16:00 in HS 3F (NIG)

Dear students,
the Wiener Forum für Analytische Philosophie and Vienna Doctoral Schools are organising a workshop around the topic of PhD applications on 31.05.22, 14:00-16:00 in HS 3F (NIG). If you are thinking about doing a PhD in philosophy, please join us! No registration required, everyone is welcome.
We’ll be talking about how to apply to PhD positions from the perspective of PhD students and also from a recruiter’s perspective. You’ll hear what you should add to your CV, what’s important for a research proposal, and get advice for composing a writing sample. Further, we’ll discuss issues regarding diversity in academic philosophy and what under-represented groups can expect.
We’ll be joined by PhD students from different programs, and Prof. Schmid to help answer any questions you have regarding your academic career!
When: 31.05.22, 14:00-16:00
Where: HS 3F NIG or Zoom – just ask anna-maria.edlinger@univie.ac.at for the link.
