Submission and Verification of your Transcript of Records
applies to all degree programs offered at the Institute of Philosophy.
Note
If you already have an approved transcript of records, you do not need to submit it using the form again. If you are unsure whether you have an approved transcript of records, please contact us via the service desk.
Once you have completed all coursework required by the curriculum, proceed as follows:
1. Download your Transcript of Records
Download your transcript of records from u:space (under Personal > My Documents). It contains all your examinations, exam dates, completed courses, and the ECTS credits you have earned. It is available in German and English.
2. Check the transcrip of records yourself
Compare the listed achievements with:
- your curriculum,
- the University of Vienna course directory, and
- if applicable, your recognition notices.
Ensure correct ECTS allocation
- Check that none of your modules are significantly overfulfilled. For graduation, only the required ECTS credits per module (or slightly more) can be counted.
- Example: If a module requires 5 ECTS but you have completed 10 ECTS, please inform us which of the excess credits should be moved to the module of interest.
Verify module allocation
- All entries in the transcript of records must match the module allocation in the course directory.
- Check each course listed in your transcript of records: is it assigned to exactly this curriculum point in the course directory? You can find this information at the bottom of each course entry under “Allocation in the course directory.”
- If an allocation is incorrect, please inform us in a service desk ticket: indicate whether the course should be moved to the correct module (if possible according to the course directory) or to the module of interest.
Mark required courses
- In the BA Philosophy, mark the mandatory English-language course you took.
- In the BEd Ethics, mark the mandatory course with a gender/diversity focus you took.
- Please specify these courses when submitting your documents.
3. Submit the transcript of records
Send a message via the service desk and select the topic “Submission of transcript of records.”
Attach all relevant documents, such as:
- your current transcript of records,
- recognition notices or other approvals,
- for Master’s programs with additional admission conditions: your admission letter.
