Advance and Interest Module
The advance and interest module are modules that do not have to be completed in order to graduate from the BA programme and whose functions therefore differ from the regular modules.
The interest module allows you to take courses from the BA or from other fields of study out of interest. These achievements cannot be used for the degree and do not appear on the degree certificate. Courses completed in the module of interest cannot subsequently be used for other curriculum points in the BA. By registering for the module of interest, you decide not to use the course for your degree.
The advance module allows students who are about to complete their BA degree to take courses that are coded for E1, E2 or E3 (M01 or M02 in the old curriculum) in the MA in Philosophy. These courses can be recognized in the MA after admission to the MA course. The achievements in the advance module also do not appear on the BA degree certificate and cannot be used for the BA degree. The prerequisite for taking courses via the advance module is the positive completion of the elective modules (M07-M15). A maximum of 20 ECTS credits may be earned in the advance module. Please be aware, that the last grade that is registered for your BA can not be for the advance module.
