Doctoral students can optionally join the Vienna Doctoral School (VDP).The VDP provides information and advice to current and prospective doctoral students. It also offers its members various forms of financial support for participation in conferences, the organisation of academic events, external research stays and the preparation of dissertations.

For doctoral students of philosophy, the study program management 43 is responsible. As a central point of contact, the website of the Doctoral Center offers extensive advice as well as regularly scheduled informational events about the doctoral program. A series of workshops, activities and events offer doctoral students the opportunity for training in key competencies as well as a space for exchange and networking with colleagues.
