The Doctoral programme in Humanities, Philosophy, and Education allows doctoral candidates to apply and further their knoweldge, competencies, and skills regarding academic literacy. Doctroral candidates are expected to conduct scientific research adhering to international academic standards and guidelines for scientific conduct. Meaning to support young scientists who strive to pursue an academic career, the programme provides an infrastructure for doctoral candidates to independently conduct research in their respective field of interest. As a central point of contact, the website of the Doctoral Center offers extensive advice as well as regularly scheduled informational events about the doctoral program. A series of workshops, activities and events offer doctoral students the opportunity for training in key competencies as well as a space for exchange and networking with colleagues.

Doctoral students are encouraged to join the Vienna Doctoral School (VDP).The VDP provides information, training and advice to current and prospective doctoral students. It also offers its members various forms of financial support for participation in conferences, the organisation of academic events, external research stays and the preparation of dissertations.
